Welcome to the website of the Research Group CTS101: Intercellular Communication. Here, you will find information regarding to the scientific, academic, and divulgative activities of this research Group of the Granada's University, mainly related to melatonin research and its therapeutical applications.

Our Research Team has constituted the RedoxMelLab, which offer to those interested the following services:

  • Analysis of gene expression by microarrays, including inventoried and custom arrays (Biotrove-ABI) (humans and animals).
  • In vivo image analysis with fluorescence probes and transgenic animals (IVIS Spectrum (rats and mice).
  • Measurement of extra- and intra-cellular markers of oxidative stress, free radicals, and endogenous antioxidant systems intra- and extracellular (humans and animals).
  • Measurement of extra- and intracellualr markers of inflammation (humans and animals).
  • Measurement of markers to evaluate the mitochondrial function in peripheral mononuclear cells and in biopsies (animals and humans).
  • Anaysis of the cronobiotic status and circadian rhtym alterations (humans and animals).
